Organised for the first time
on the weekend 9-10 June 2007 and planned on international
specifications, this event
combined the touring together with the competitive
spirit
The Start was performed by the Mayor of Limassol Mr. Andreas Christou
from the medieval castle in Limassol, and in Paphos, the next stop the
crews were greeted by the Paphos Mayor Mr. Savva Vergas.

Special Stages and one Secret Passage Control were the decisive
factors for the winner.
First in the General Category Andros Andreou and Doros Demetriades in
an MGB of 1967. Second in the General Category Savvas Hadjipanayis and
Yiannos Ioannou in a FIAT 127 Sport, and 3rd in the General
Category Alexander Zachariades and Constantinos Sergiou in a
Mercedes-Benz 230.6 of 1973.
Special Vehicles that appeared for the first time in such an event
were a beautiful Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible of 1974, the
vehicles with the biggest engine (6750cc) driven by John John with
Samantha Wade as navigator. On the other extreme, a 4 x 4 Lada Niva
1986 with Nicolas Hardacre a 20-year old I.T. student as driver.
The well-known rally driver Dimis Mavropoulos covered the 300
kilometre route in an Austin A40 Farina Estate of 1968, the vehicle
with the smallest engine, wherelese the 2nd biggest engine
vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz 450SL, was driver by Gunnar Nilsen from
Norway, with the characteristic registration number NORSK!
First Ladies Crew were Hatice Vudali and Deniz Ozalp in an MG B
Roadster of 1967.
Constantinos and Pavlina Karitzi who are competing for the 2nd
time, were 2nd in the “G” Category win their Mercedes-Benz
230 of 1978.
First mixed crew were Said

Engin Muhyi in
a Mercedes-Benz 200 of 1974.
A
beautiful Mercedes-Benz 230SL Pagoda of 1967 was driven by the crew
that wan the prize of the 2nd mixed Crew: Anastasia
Christofidou as driver, with Constantinos Pierides as her navigator.
The Oldest car, a Mercedes-Benz 180 Ponton of 1958 was driven by Roger
and Sandra Brooks.
Needless to say that all crews, Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots,
British and Norwegian enjoyed their weekend tremendously and made an
appointment for next year.
